Lizzie Hogarth, also known as Singer of the Lakes, is a professionally trained vocalist from the Lake District, Kendal. She has had the pleasure of training at the West End famous Laine Theatre Arts and Guildford School of Acting. Lizzie is a classical crossover singer, combining her specialised training in classical music and musical theatre. Lizzie offers a variety of bespoke shows and appearances, tailored to your special event. With over 15 years of experience, Lizzie's clear tone and warm personality has wowed audiences worldwide and she has enjoyed performing on some of the greatest cruise ships, hotels and theatres across the globe. Lizzie is best known for her career as a classical guest act and a lover of vintage music. She also has a Masters in 'Teaching and Learning for Higher Education' and is a choir conductor and singing teacher in her spare time.
Lizzie's career began in London appearing in various productions and venues across London including at the Royal Albert Hall for the BBC Proms. She enjoyed two tours, one across Europe and the other in America early in her career with the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain. One of Lizzie's favourite roles during this time was performing in the Thursford Christmas Spectacular as an alto chorus member and soloist, where she had the honour of performing to Prince William and Princess Kate at their official engagement announcement. Lizzie's career then took her on tour as a soloist around the Mediterranean, visiting such places as Greece, Turkey, Spain, Italy and many more. Lizzie toured the Mediterranean for 5 years performing in some of the best cruise ships, hotels and theatres. Lizzie is now based in the North East of the UK and enjoys singing with local and touring orchestras, brass bands and choirs as a guest soloist. Lizzie also enjoys preforming with the Darlington Operatic Society at the Darlington Hippodrome and produces her own Classical Crossover events in the region such as her 2022 Singer of the Lakes - Christmas Spectacular. Lizzie is proud to have been an official nominee for 'Best Female Solo Artist' in the National Entertainment Awards for her work in the North East of the UK. Lizzie is also a singer/songwriter, writing and releasing her own music, 'What is the word' and ‘Independent' available on all major music platforms.
Lizzie's Classical Crossover Act portrays the beautiful tones of classical music and operetta arias. She combines this with jazzy classics from some of the biggest artists ever known, singing contemporary pop and musical theatre songs with a classical/vintage twist. Lizzie's Classical Crossover act has been performed in venues across the globe, such as 'Max Royale' in Belek where the European Golf Championships take place annually, Limak, Grecotel, Hilton, Sentindo, TUI Sensatori, Sherwood, Marriott, First Choice, Cornelia, Sheraton, Atlantica, Diamond Resorts, Marella Cruises and world class yachts.
Lizzie has also had the honour of singing at such venues as 'The Royal Albert Hall', 'Her Majesties Theatre' in London and the 'Walt Disney Symphony Hall' in Los Angeles. Lizzie has enjoyed singing with such stars as G4, "The choir" as seen on Channel four, The King Singers, Eric Whitacre, the Morman Tabernacle Choir, the Swingle Singers, Sir John Rutter, Sir David Wilcox and Julian Lloyd Webber. Lizzie is also a proud member of the Chorus of the Royal Northern Sinfonia directed by Tim Burke, appearing with the Royal Northern Sinfonia Orchestra in concerts at the Sage, Gateshead.
